A 500-person financial services firm was struggling under the weight of manual financial operations. The accounts payable team processed over 8,000 invoices monthly, each requiring manual data entry across SAP and Oracle systems. Reconciliation was a monthly 3-day sprint involving spreadsheets, emails, and constant human intervention.

Process Discovery & Mapping

Ran structured process workshops to document 14 financial sub-processes. Used UiPath Process Mining to identify and rank automation candidates by ROI and complexity.

Bot Architecture Design

Designed an attended/unattended hybrid bot architecture. Unattended bots run scheduled overnight, while attended bots assist staff during complex exception handling.

Development & Testing

Built and unit-tested 8 UiPath bots covering invoice intake, 3-way matching, payment scheduling, bank reconciliation, and vendor statement processing.

UAT & Parallel Running

Ran 6-week parallel operations where bots and humans processed the same transactions independently. Discrepancy rate of 0.2% was identified and bots refined before full handover.
